Agro Processing Plant, ULI-Anambra
30kVA solar power plant for a cassava and palm oil processing facility.
The Challenge
The agro processing plant processed cassava, garri using diesel generators that cost about ₦2.5 million monthly. Grid power was unavailable in the rural location, making diesel the only option.
The grinding machines, crushers, fryers, dryers required consistent power.
Our Solution
We installed a 30kVA off-grid solar power plant with 35kWh battery storage. The system delivers pure sine wave power that protects sensitive processing equipment from voltage spikes.
40 solar panels on a roof mounted array provide ample generation, while the battery bank carries operations through cloudy weather and night shifts.
How We Delivered
Rural Site Survey
Off-grid assessment including soil testing for ground mount foundations.
Ground Mount Engineering
Reinforced concrete foundations and galvanised steel frames for long-term durability.
Equipment Installation
Three-week build including panel arrays, inverters, battery housing, and distribution boards.
Training & Commissioning
Operators trained on monitoring, maintenance, and safe battery handling procedures.
Results
- check_circle Complete transition from diesel to solar for all processing operations.
- check_circle Pure sine wave output eliminated voltage fluctuation damage to grinding machines.
- check_circle Consistent power has improved product consistency and reduced waste.
- check_circle Proves industrial solar works effectively in off-grid rural locations.
